Disposal Detail
Whilst on a voyage from London via Clyde Estuary to Sydney in convoy OA 207, was sunk with a torpedo by the German submarine U 47 in a position 58.14N., 15.50W., 300 miles west of the Hebrides, 90 miles N.W. from Rockall. The crew of 24 Europeans and 66 Chinese were all rescued by HMS GODETIA and HMCS ST. LAURENT.
