Vessel history |
Launched by crane into the Forth & Clyde Canal at Kirkintilloch. 2009 lengthened to 52ft by BVT, Scotstoun. 11/05/2009 Re-dedicated at a ceremony at Scotstoun, before being returned to its base at Kirkintilloch. |
Remarks |
Designed to give canal cruising experiences to disabled people. She arose from a meeting between Rev P Hugh Mackay, Founder of the Seagull Trust (and a former Minister of Torphichen Church of Scotland) and Sir Eric Yarrow. The build was intended to be a project for craft apprentices in the yard. The 'yard number' is part of a sequence of Special Order (S.O.) numbers. |
