Vessel history |
31/10/1804 Aberdeen Press & Journal: The brig JOHN & THOMAS of Kincardine, Captain Cumming, in her homeward bound passage from Gottenburg, parted with the fleet under convoy of His Majesty’s ship HEBE, in a thick fog, and having experienced very hard gales they were obliged to abandon her on 5th September, and take to their boat. They had not been an hour in the boat before the brig disappeared. About two hours after they were taken up by a Prussian vessel, Peter Albers de Boer, master by whom Captain Cumming and crew received the greatest attention for 14 days. On 14th September the crew arrived at Berwick on board the NEPTUNE. |
