11/8/1914 Requisitioned for conversion as an Armed Merchant Cruiser at Cockatoo Island, Sydney.
18/8/1914 Commissioned as HMAS BARRIMA, and paid off in October for conversion to a troop transport.
18/2/1917 Struck a mine off Portland Bill while inward bound for London, but was beached and repaired.
24/3/1920 Resumed commercial service and commenced her last voyage on 26/4/1929.
