1/3/1868 Inaugurated an emigrant service from Bremen to Baltimore. (Passenger 84 1st class and 600 emigrant).
May 1872 In collision, off Hastings, with the Spanish steamship LORENZO SEMPRUM. The BALTIMORE had a large hole stove in her hull, and the fires were soon extinguished, not however before she had been run aground off Hastings. She was towed into Southampton for repairs
