Disposal Detail
1/7/1971 sank on her berth at Fort Blockhouse. She had been moored there from dry dock and was “First Filling “ her fuel tanks with salt water. During the process her stern settled and water poured in through an aft hatch, which had been left open with a shore power cables, and could not be closed. Her crew and visiting Sea Cadets managed to scramble out before she sank, except for three crew who sealed themselves in the forward compartment. They escaped with immersion suits 13 hours later
6/7/1971 raised by RMAS Goldeneye and Kinloss and decommissioned
February 1972 Listed for Disposal due to salt Damage
12/12/1971 sold to H.G Pounds Portsmouth for BU
