Disposal Detail
Torpedoed late on 6/12/1942 by U.103 in 40.35N - 39.40W (Liverpool for Freetown with cement, dynamite and general cargo) and damaged forward; crew and passengers took to the ship's boats.

Early on 7/12, after master taken prisoner, a further torpedo led to huge explosion and sinking. 52 crew and 10 passengers in four boats were not heard of again, probably lost in subsequent gales
