One of three sisters launched and completed in 1871, the others being CUZCO and GARONNE. 
Remarks
In February 1895, with CLEOPATRA, Thomas Cook was offering 30 day full board cruises from Marseille, visiting Leghorn, Naples, Suda Bay, Jaffa, Alexandria, Malta, Cagliari, Ajaccio plus a return First Class rail passage from London to Marseille for the modest cost of 45 Guineas.
