11/6/1944 wrecked in the Chacao Channel east of Isla Sebastiana, nr Chiloé (Puerto Montt for Coquimbo in tow of tug OFQUI (Willoughby, Plymouth, Yd 42), which also sank); crew escaped in boats to Isla Sebastiana.
Wreck floated off later and drifted in area, grounding several times. She grounded at Quilquiao, at the NW point of Isla Grande and attempts were made to refloat her. But in a storm she again floated off and was not seen again, presumably sank. |
