Stranded at Porthlethen, 8 miles south of Aberdeen, on Craig Meroon Rock at high tide in heavy weather; all crew and passengers landed safely (London for Aberdeen). Some cargo later salved but a total wreck by 23/1. Assesed as a navigational error by 1st officer.
