Disposal Detail
24/06/1878 bound for Adelaide, Australia from Lyttelton, New Zealand, the ship struck a severe storm and was run on to Waitarere Beach on the west coast of North Island to give the crew and passengers a better chance of survival. No lives lost. Attempts were made to refloat the vessel but she was eventually abandoned.
(British registry not closed until c1885)
Remains gradually disintegrated, but some still remain.
