Wrecked on third trip at Ballywilliam Point, north of Donaghadee, Ireland in snowstorm (Morecambe for Belfast). Crew and single passenger saved. Broke in two. 3/2/1854 midships/aft section (including machinery) auctioned at Donaghadee - bow section ashore - bought by Tulloch & Denny 5/1854 part salved. Returned to Archibald Denny yard and rebuilt as WATERLOO (Yd 4, ON 8013)(qv) |
