Wrecked at Cap La Roche, River St Lawrence on passage Montreal for Liverpool after heavy icing had covered and moved navigation buoys, and sheared three blades from the propeller. Early refloating attempts were hampered by surrounding ice.
28/11/1880 cargo jettisoned; ship full of water and refloating attempts abandoned to the underwriters.
Further attempts at reloating in Spring 1881 were also unsuccessful.
7/7/1881 wreck sold as lies for $4500 to Henry Dinning, for removal within two months.
