20/6/1904 at 0020hrs on the approach to Port Phillip Bay near Melbourne, the pilot made an error of judgement connected with navigation lights and went aground on the Corsair Rock off Point Nepean. All 294 people aboard got off safely. She was immovable, her fittings were sold and following a fire on board the rest of her was sold.
