1/4/1882 sunk in heavy seas after collision with Spanish steamer YRURAC BAT (2197g/1872) 45m off Cape Finisterre. She was on a voyage from Brazil & Lisbon for Southampton (55 passengers, bullion and general cargo). 23 lost form DOURO, including Capt Kemp - and 36 from the Spanish ship also drowned. |
