In collision with CITY OF BEDFORD in 60.32N - 23.10W when two convoys met each other 300 miles south of Iceland. Bodnant eastbound/City of Bedford westbound. Both vessels heavily damaged and both sank. She was on passage Hull for Freetown and Lagos with government cargo.
