25/3/1919 when she was commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy
12/8/1922 paid off as Submarine Depot Ship and next day was recommissioned as a Destroyer Depot and Fleet Repair Ship.
15/8/1929 paid off and the next day was commissioned as HMAS Penguin and was now back to her role as a Submarine Tender at Sydney
26/3/1941 recommissioned as HMAS Platypus to resume seagoing service as a training ship.
