12/1862 sailed London with two horizontal steam engines (180 and 110nhp), boilers and propellers; also cannon, munitions and general cargo, and a group of engineers and munitions experts for Bermuda via Halifax.
12/1862 arrived St John's Nfld short of coal
23/1/1863 sailed Hamilton, Bermuda for Charleston
29/1/1863 captured by USS UNADILLA off Charleston after being forced aground; later towed off.
3/1863 purchased by US Navy at the Philadelphia prize court and commissioned as USS PRINCESS ROYAL
