Vessel history
24/7/1894 dragged anchors off Sandheads (mainden voyage, Liverpool for Calcutta with salt) in gales and crew had to be taken off by P&O ss CHUSAN; Capt Williams returned on 26/7 with tug WARREN HASTINGS, and she was towed up to Calcutta. Pilot was blamed for the unnecessary abandonment.
