15/8/1902 ran ashore at the entrance to Salt River, Table Bay, South Africa after dragging anchors in a gale (from London with general cargo); crew saved. 10/1902 refloated and towed to Cape Town.
12/1902 sold and used as a storage hulk in Table Bay, Cape Town
c1912 towed to Prince Olav Harbour, South Georgia by four whale catchers to be used as a coal hulk at the whaling station
Brutus Island is named after her.
