27/10/1942 Whilst on a voyage, under Capt. G. L. Evans, from Rosario and Freetown to Liverpool, in convoy SL125, was torpedoed by the German submarine U.509, N. W. from the Canary Islands in a position 29.15N., 20.57W.
28/10/1942 Abandoned by her crew, 17.40 hrs., in a position 21.29N., 19.28W.
