Disposal Detail
Sunk in collision with steamship DARRO while acting as a troopship 12nm off St Catherine's Point on passage Plymouth for Le Havre. The collision occured at night and she sank in 20 minutes with the loss of over 600 troops and 29 crew. The troops were from the 5th Battalion, South African Native Labour Corps.
