Disposal Detail
Left San Francisco 22/08/1896 with 2992 tons barley, and 28 hands for Queenstown for orders. Ordered to Dublin. Fell in with tug FLYING SPRITE which was contracted to tow into Dublin. Weather deteriorated, tug not powerful enough, let go and ship became unmanageable eventually running on to Little Copeland Island as she tried to gain shelter of Belfast Lough. Total loss. Crew safe.
