Disposal Detail
Total loss on voyage from Leith to Newcastle in heavy weather. In attempting to shelter in the gale conditions she stranded on the ridge in the Holy Island harbour and stuck fast. All passengers, put at 75-78 and 19-20 crew were taken off by the Holy Island lifeboat, "Grace Darling" assisted by local fishermen.
