Disposal Detail
Sank in collision with the steamer CORRWG (930/1881) off Point Lynas, Anglesey whilst on a voyage from Whitehaven to Cork with a cargo of coal. She was attempting to tow the CORRWG, which was disabled with a broken tailshaft, to Holyhead but the two ships collided in heavy seas. The crew of the CLYTIE got on board the CORRWG which was towed into the Mersey by the steamer BLACKROCK (859/1892).
