Ordered as Bridlington, renamed Goole in 1918 September 1926 completed as the RNVR Drillship HMS IRWELL for the Manchester/Mersey Reserves 20/9/1939 renamed EAGLET II and used as a Base ship and Depot Ship for trawlers at Liverpool. 15/8/1942 renamed HMS IRWELL and commissioned at Birkenhead as a base ship for trawlers
