Whilst under command of Captain R. J. Parry on a voyage from Cochin and Table Bay to Glasgow and London, was sunk in convoy SL67 by the German submarine U 105 in a position 20.35 N., 20.40 W., north of Cape Verde. 11 lives were lost.
