Disposal Detail
After taking a list, capsized and sank 15 miles off Newtown Head on a voyage from Cork to Manchester with cattle, sheep and general cargo. 18 of crew lost with only one survivor, who reached land after 24 hours on an improvised raft.
The enquiry concluded that the loss was due to shifting of the cattle cargo in No.2 hold.
