Disposal Detail
Torpedoed by U.109 about 270 miles SE of Greenland about 58N - 41W on passage Manchester for Rio Grande in ballast. Eleven men killed on board, eight died in the boats and three died in hospital at St Johns where they and the 36 survivors had been taken after being picked up by the US coastguard cutter GENERAL GREENE.
